چکیده
Abstract Energy efficiency policy has been one of the European Union top priorities for decades and will continue to play a vital role in next 10 years with introduction The Clean energy all Europeans. Likewise, Latvia given high priority; however, targets industry lacked ambitions. This research focuses on evaluating Latvian industrial using top-down approach benchmarking intensity average Union’s. Results confirm that consumes 2.6 times more produce same amount value added compared Union; every saved unit would save twice less CO 2 emissions considering already largely decarbonized mix. In spotlights Green Deal proposed by Commission, much higher contribution terms reduction be expected from industry. Nevertheless, should sector-specific, separately addressing intensive sectors, non-intensive sectors low value.

Towards Semantic Latvia
Tim Berners-Lee and co-authors in their seminal paper “The Semantic Web”, published in 2001, outlined their vision about the future Semantic Web. But today we are still far from the implementation of this vision. Despite fundamental achievements, like definition of OWL (Web Ontology Language) and rapid progress of RDF/OWL content creation, storage and processing tools, there are still very few ...

Refining is one of the most energy intensive processes in the manufacture of paper and paperboard. While refining combines a blend of science, art, and operating experience, nearly all papermakers acknowledge that we over-refine our paper machine stock fiber. Series and parallel equipment line-ups are commonplace, and different hydraulic paths are necessary to accommodate the plethora blends of...
